The Family Planning Program is available for both women and men. Services are provided free or at a low cost and are confidential. Family planning accepts those who are under 18 years of age.
Services include an assessment, visit with clinician, and a physical exam to include pap tests, breast exams, birth control, and referrals.
Methods of birth control offered are oral contraceptives, condoms (male and female), Nexplanon, Mirena, Para Guard, and Nuva Ring. Plan B is also available.

Counseling and supplies are provided by our trained and experienced public health nurses every Tuesday. Counseling and supply visits can also be made by appointment.

There is no cost for those who qualify for the VFC Program. However there is a $19.95 administrative cost for each vaccine.
We accept insurance from many different providers. Private pay costs may vary depending on the type of vaccine.
* Insurance coverage may not cover entire cost of a vaccine.
Immunizations are provided to all individuals older than 2 months of age.

Diphtheria, HIB, Hepatitis A&B, HPV, Flu, Measles, Meningococcal (Menactra and Men B), Mumps, Pertusis, Pneumococcal (Pneumovax and Prevnar 13), Polio, Rabies, Rotavirus, Rubella, Tetanus, Typhoid, Varicella, Yellow Fever Vaccine, and Zostavax (Shingles).
Marion County Health Department also provides travel vaccines. If you are traveling and are unsure of the vaccines you may need, you should:
Most all areas of travel will recommend basic immunizations such as Tetanus, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and the Flu Vaccine. Additional vaccines could be recommended such as the Rabies Vaccine, Typhoid, and Yellow Fever.
The Marion County Health Department is an approved Yellow Fever Vaccine Center. A specific appointment must be made for the counseling and administration of Yellow Fever Vaccine.
TB Risk Assessments are offered on a walk-in basis.
PPDs (skin test) are provided on Wednesdays from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm or by appointment only.
Your visit includes a risk assessment (required), PPD (skin test), and a return visit to have the skin test read and documented.
T-SPOT is a diagnostic test that is only offered by appointment only.

Counseling and screening is provided by our trained and experienced public health nurses. Testing for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, HIV, Syphillis, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C. Results are not immediate, so there will likely be a wait time of 2 - 3 weeks.
Cost: $25.00 charge for visit that includes an assessment, counseling, testing, and results.
