Food Handlers Card
The purpose of the food handlers card training program is to prepare food handlers to enter the workforce by providing the required food safety; information as specified by regulations of the workers’ state or local government. Classes and tests are still available at the Health Department, they start @ 10:00am, please arrive about 15 minutes before to register. The cost is $5.00 per year up to 3 years .There is an additional fee of $10 for a state-wide Food Handler’s Card.

Person In Charge
Person In Charge (PIC) training is a comprehensive review of food safety regulations of the day-to-day operations within a food establishment. This class will ensure all procedures and policies are in place to ensure proper food saftey practices. Pursuant to the 2013 FDA Food Code all food establishments must have a PIC (Person In Charge) at the establishment during all operating hours (preparation, service, and clean-up). (2-101.11(A)) of the 2013 FDA Food Code.
This class is usually attended by an owner, manager, and/or shift leader. ServSafe manager can be used in-lieu of the PIC training. Cost of the class is $125.00 for a 5 year certificate. You can call to enroll or arrive on the day of the class choosen 15 minutes prior to the start time to register.
